I chose this image because I thought it was neat and that the designs were different. I haven't really seen this type of a heart on a card before. Also this a hasn't been used much in writing that I have seen. So I think that it is different and a piece of its own.
I had problems with this project with the painting. I am not very good at painting straight lines so I had trouble with that. One other thing that I couldn't figure out is what I was going to make as a card. I was able to figure it all out by just stop and thinking about how I could make the straight lines and I just took mine time and was able to get them pretty straight. To find a design I just took a little time and sirft the web and found some different desgins and letters.
I believe that my project turned out pretty good. I think I could have done better if I would have had more time to work on it but for the time I had I thought it was good. I believe that it is a work of art. It is a piece of its own, creative, and unique.

I chose this character because, it resembles my feelings during difficult times in life. During this process I ran into some problems. These include, not being able to form my clay as good as I desired to, as well as my character breaking in half during the heating. Some solutions that helped me make my project better was, using water to smooth out the clay to help it shape into the form I wanted. Suggestions I would make to others if they chose to do this character, or anything else with clay is to make sure you get all of the air bubbles out so that it does not explode, or crack when put into the heat.

We chose to make a barn figure because, it sounded interesting to make, and some what challenging. Some problems we ran into was, getting the tape to form the correct way we wanted it to, so we had to discontinue the tape and start a new piece to make the angles we desired. We tried reusing the tape that was discontinued in other places that we could so that it was not wasted. Some further suggestions may be, to make sure to smooth out the tape so that the form looks nice, as well as be neat. For the majority of the process, the whole group put good effort into the Tape Mural to design a quality image.

I can create a successful work of art by organizing my thoughts and ideas.
I chose this because it symbolizes something I have interest in. I had problems with the colors and getting the shades correct on the sides. For the shading I went through and colored it with white and made it more waxy as well as darkened the eraser and the metal on the end of the pencil. I also went through and darkened the edges to make it the correct color as what they were supposed to be. I thought over all it was pretty good after i went back through and made my changes to it. I think that it came out good and my design stuck to what I wanted it to be through my process of creating my pencil drawing.

How this reflects my life
This reflects my life a lot because as a little child, I grew up in the country and on a farm. I liked riding the big tractors and I also liked big trucks. When I was really little I had a ton of little toy trucks and tractors that I used to play with all the time.

I have grown artistically because I have more of a creative eye. For example, when I look at objects, I see the art and the creativeness in the objects. Over the past semester, I think my art has improved a lot.

The project that i believe was my most successful piece was my pencil drawing because i really took my time and made sure it was good and went back and perfected it too.

Developing and promoting creativity in school is very important because it causes students to think in a different way.
